Have you ever thought about how children at risk of food insecurity get their nutrition on weekends when they don’t have access to school meals? Apparently the folks at the Windermere office in Queen Anne, one of our more prominent neighbors, did just that. In conjunction with the Windermere Foundation, a grant was made in support of the Helpline’s Weekend Food for Kids program. This will be such as asset to the Helpline’s work for the 2015 – 2016 school year. Thanks to Windermere for their generosity and compassion.
